This studio merges game design with digital artistry, empowering students to create board games that spark dialogue and drive awareness around real-world issues. Centered on the concept of games for a cause, the studio invites participants to design innovative, thought-provoking games that address social, environmental, and cultural challenges through creative gameplay and storytelling.

Students will engage in the full cycle of game creation — from concept development and narrative design to prototyping and production — using tools such as 3D printing and laser cutting to build custom components. Along the way, they will explore how mechanics, aesthetics, and storytelling can be used not just to entertain, but to inform, inspire, and engage players on important topics.

By the end of the studio, students will have created meaningful, playable board games that serve as both artistic expressions and platforms for advocacy, offering unique experiences that blend fun with purpose.
